Empowered Expressions

Empowered Expressions is a group of youth from the GLBTQQIA community, who tell their stories in their own words through performance art, in hopes of changing the quality of their everyday environment.

Outward Spiral has joined up the youth and staff of District 202 to create a theatre program that works to strengthen the Queer Youth Voice through the theatre arts. This youth-run theatre troupe aims to build skills in: collaboration, communication, self-confidence, and self-expression through weekly theatre workshops, and the creation of theatrical pieces that are performed for the community.

The troupe meets every Sunday at
District 202
from 4:00 -7:00 p.m.
